la la love you, don't mean maybe

I have a lot of things to say and very little brain power with which to say them! Thus, I use bullet points.

  • I've been incredibly absent from the internet lately, I know. I'm not sure when it happened, but somehow I've acquired this aversion to my computer and started finding all different excuses to be away from it. This is not like me! In an attempt to get back into things, because being away from my flist makes me sad, my twitter account has been resurrected. Hopefully it'll keep me more in touch with people, and if I am an utter idiot and forget to do face_of_joe people can tweet angrily at me until I remember.

  • Today is hereby declared Post-A-Puppy Day. Because I say so.

    This puppy loves you unconditionally.

  • [livejournal.com profile] ladycat777 tagged me ages ago for this. I'm not tagging anyone else, because I'm pretty sure everyone's already seen this going around, but if you want to do it consider yourself poked.

    01. Make a list of 5 things you can see:
    1. IKEA 2009 catalog
    2. My new hand-me-down cell phone WITH A KEYBOARD! This is exciting!
    3. Excedrin Migraine
    4. That Thing You Do VHS tape
    5. Stuffed whale

    02. Would you ever get plastic surgery?
Probably not. I don't love what I look like, but I'm working on it.

    03. Is there anything in your fridge right now that you would never eat/drink?
    Yogurt, grapes, and asparagus. Ganifoawm.

    04. What's your occupation?
    Soon-to-be culinary student!

    05. Do you nap a lot?
Mostly just when I'm not feeling well or I've been in the car for a long time.

    06. What was your first celebrity crush?
Oh god, I don't even know. Possibly a fraggle. DON'T JUDGE ME, THEY ROCKED.

    07. What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction?
I'm multi-fannish at the moment, which hasn't happened in quite a few years: it's a split between Supernatural, Stargate Atlantis, and Merlin, with a bit of due South thrown in for good measure.

    08. What are you listening to right now?
The ice cream truck going by the house. *yearns*

    09. What was the last text message you received?

A guitar-shaped mosaic base to paint/tile for my sister's birthday.

    12. Do you want a ball pool with a thousand clear balls?
Hell no, I'm accident prone enough as it is; I'd probably swallow one. No comments from the peanut gallery, please.

    13. Does the weather affect your mood?
Drastically. I have a lightbox now, though! It does seem to help!

    14. What is your zodiac sign?
Libra! But don't let that fool you, I have a respectable number of planets in Scorpio.

    15. Name a song that makes you think about a ship/character that you like lately.
Meiko - Reasons To Love You

    16. Weird dream
The last weird dream I had was at least a week ago and involved Castiel, a janitor's uniform, and Candy Mountain. Yeah...

    17. Do you have any siblings?
Older sister by four years, Michele.

    18. What's something you'd like to say to someone right now?
Stop being an asshole. It's not that hard.

    19. What are your plans for next weekend?
Figure out how to rip down the wallpaper in the kitchen, paint, rewatch SPN 4x18 a billion times, catch up on CSI.

    20. Say something to the person who tagged you:
    Cuddledämerrung is coming! EXPECT IT!

Ahh, thank you! He's a retired racing greyhound. They're a great breed, and he's a total sweetie.

Ooh! There's some sort of foundation in my city for adopting retired racing greyhounds, as I understand it, but the only ones I've ever seen around are brindled. (I think that's the word?) And usually wearing booties and little things that remind me of saddle-blankets. They do seem like nice dogs! I was in a store once and a guy came in with three on leashes and they were very well-behaved. It was impressive.

Still not as pretty as yours, though. ;3

The brindles are the brown-beige sort of stripey ones. Oddly they are apparently much easier to place for adoption groups- the black ones like my boy tend to get overlooked!

They would have been wearing coats- they feel the cold much more than other breeds as they have very little body fat, and only one layer of fur (most dogs have longer guard hairs, and a shorter layer for insulation. Yes, I am a giant geek when it comes to greyhounds!). A lot will wear house coats too at night in cold weather, essentially pajamas!

I'm glad you like him! I wish I could have him with me (he lives with my parents because I can't have dogs in my apartment) and I miss him so much.
