If you're still looking for stuff to watch - Down Argentine Way, if only for the Nicholas Brothers and Carmen Miranda. Er, OK, forget that, just find utube clips of those folks. They didn't get leading roles in Hollywood films due to not being white - but oh what they made of their scant minutes onscreen!
BTW kudos on John picking up Hot Fuzz - they totally need to see that. And may I mention that that movie also has some of the best ever slash fanfic? [Ann Larimer, ftw]
