So it turns out that if you accidentally overbeat the batter, and then your freezer isn't working well or something and by the time you finish rolling it out it's turned back to batter and you basically have to slather as one big smudge it onto the cookie sheet you're using instead of the parchment paper you meant to buy, and then if you cook it just a smidge too long because your oven is highly unreliable and you misjudge its temperature even with the oven thermometer, it turns out? It turns out they're really good cookies.
