Why is it that people are always murdered in mysteries when the Very Famous detectives are conveniently in attendence? What the hell, murderers, shouldn't you, I don't know, maybe wait?

Poirot is forever being subjected to murders around him. As soon as he turns up at a playhouse, one of the actors mysteriously dies. As soon as he's visiting an old friend, someone turns up without a pulse on that sprawling, isolated estate.

Murderers are stupid in mysteries. Gimme some CSI.
