So! I am moved in, well snuggled, and incredibly giddy. :D

The room is fantastic; it's a good size, everything fits, and it does not have creepy-crawlies. My standards are low, what can I say? Last year's room smelt like a sewer for three weeks straight and there were bugs of The Armagedon, like, the size of my FIST. Ewwugh.

But, yes!

This...is my ducky rug. It is a ducky, and yet also a rug. He's also REALLY FUZZY and, having worn black by some freak accident of fate *cough*, I, too, was yellow and fuzzy by the day's end. ♥

My dorm in all of it's cluttered glory, as viewed from my corner, on my bed. Those feet in the left corner? Those are Debbie's little feet, and aren't they cute. That poster up above our TV? Cap'n Jack Sparrow! OH YES WE ARE THAT COOL--although, it will probably impede learning since neither of us can stop looking at it. And, um, please ignore the scattered remains of our dinner on the table there. We haven't gotten to the dishes yet.

Three random guys came to the door today, knocked, and said they were making their rounds, saying hello to everyone. I think they were astounded by the sheer clutter of our room. And, well, okay, so maybe the blaring Beatles music and numerous posters (HOMG JIM MORRISON LIVES ABOVE MY HEAD) all over the place did not help.

Either way, they seemed a little hesitant to step too close to our doorway. Maybe we are scary. I don't know, it's possible. People run away from me in parking lots all the time. AM I SCARY?

PS--Um, did I miss anything fandom-y? The internet didn't explode, right? LINK ME, PEOPLE.

Hee, my friends have that same Jack Sparrow poster up in their common room. Along with a huge Abbey Road poster, funnily enough! Hee. My room is plastered with many things, but Jensen is the highest percentage of them, heehee.

Yeah, we got lucky this year. Everyone was making a fuss in our building about moving into one of the rooms with a balcony (which, I admit, is pretty awesome) but the corner rooms, like ours, are bigger, so we were able to fenangle our way into one. Yaye! :D

I loved my little room. When we moved into a house down the road, and I got the old front room with bay windows and space, it still wasn't as good as my little room :0P

The walls were REALLY thin and I had this friend Jenny whose room was next door, and her bed was kind of next to mine on the other side of the room, and her alarm would go off at Ridiculous O'Clock in the morning and she'd already be up, so it'd wake me up, and she was really heavy-footed so then you'd hear this BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG as she ran down the corridor from the kitchen to turn off the alarm.

So I got her back the best ways I could think of. Once I got my didgeridoo, which I cannot for the life of me play, put it to the wall, and totally BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMED her at 2 in the morning.

Jenny was fun :0P

For some reason, when I was in high school everyone thought I was a witch. For the life of me I don't know why. And this was before the goth thing was all big. I didn't even wear a lot of black. But! I never had to fight my way through hallways.

Aussie thing. That big long hollowed tube thing (it has to be hollowed by termites to be a real didgeridoo, I was told by my arrogant friend Tom, when he noted that mine wasn't :0P) and you have to circular breathe in order to actually make a PROPER long sound but you can still have fun making sounds like some sort of moose and/or yak mating.

I SAW THAT OMG STEVE IRWIN! I was absolutely dumbfounded. I mean, he goes around poking at venemous snakes with a stick and yelling 'crikey!' but I never really thought anything would kill him. He was kind of like that kid you watch grow up who hits himself over the head with powertools for fun, and you think, "It'll be a miracle if he makes it to 10!" and then he grows up and becomes a Harvard Professor.
