Does it ever happen to you where you're reading, like, a really great story or even just a good one and it's not sad or even angsty in any way - hell, it might have the happiest or silliest or just endingest ending ever - but you get to the end and you're just, you just want to cry anyway? Like, you're just so overwhelmed by it that you either have to cry or you have to get up and walk away for a while to get yourself together? I mean, there are stories that are, like, fifteen thousand words long that do this to me, but then there are ones that are, like, three hundred words long and I'm ready to bawl as soon as I see 'post comment' at the bottom.

I don't even know if, what, is it because it's over? Or is it that I got sucked in so much that it's jarring to reach the end and be forced out of it? Like. Because, yeah. Jesus.

On the money exactly. *hugs* It's sort of not fair that authors do that to us, yeah? There should be a warning at the top: "May make you burst into tears upon completion."

But I kind of love that feeling too. What makes me sad is the fact that I can probably never explain it to anyone in RL you know? The second I get the word fanfic out they'd probably roll there eyes and that would be it. It's pretty sad if you consider the amazing stuff that's being written in this and in other fandoms.

It is really sad. 'Cause, sure, a lot of fandom is based around 'shipping and porn, but there such amazing fic to read here (in general fandom) that people shouldn't be missing out on simply because of their preconceived notions about what they're gonna get.

And apart from all of that? The porn is better than any in RL I've ever read or seen. And it even has a plot. Hell, even the PWP ones ;)

In conclusion: Fandom rocks!
