i can has a stepmommy?
So, hey! I have two more siblings and another mother! Wheeeeee!
Pictures will be forthcoming when I can figure out where my USB stick is, but, needless to say, Daddy and Bonnie were absolutely adorable and fed each other cake and danced to sappy nineties rock ballads and then did the can-can. I had at least six separate people tell me to start drinking right now or I might not survive the night, and then there was a dance off between an eleven year old and an eight year old which was at once absolutely hysterical and horrifying; the thrusting, why, god, why? A set of little boy twins starting beating each other up with napkins, a hotass dude from Florida with wicked hips got up and sang Frank Sinatra, Bonnie kept finding rice in her hair and making comments about stir fry, a woman with a camera seemed intent on stalking me because my father had told her I was camera shy, and also an old lady named Mickey kept petting my arm and touching my hip and telling me that my name was Melinda, wasn't it? Are you sure it's not Melinda?
ALL IN ALL it was a pleasant time. I think I've pulled a muscle in my thigh, but whatever, who cares! There's chocolate from London in my mouth, rose petals scattered pretty much everywhere in the house, too much food to fit in the fridge, a Robin coming soon to help us eat it all, and a distinct lack of anything at all to do today except sleep and read.
I know I owe at least three people emails and I've also got some comment backlog, but: Revel with me, friends! Here, I bring wine and cookies - gorge yourselves until you are full and cheerful!
