re: SGA
*guiltily opens up word document, writes Teyla/Lorne PG comfort fic*
- Todd is one of the best things the SGA writers've ever done, in my opinion. He's 3-dimensional and absolutely hysterical and way more endearing than any mostly-evil character has a right to be. I think he's fast becoming one of my favorite characters, hands down. Point:
Mel: OH NO DID TODD DIE?! TODDDDDDD
I think I need a Todd icon.
Julie: NOOOO
Mel: TOOOOODDDDDDD
Julie: TOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD ;_;
Mel: OH WHAT DID HE DO
Julie: I DONT KNOW
Julie: something
Mel: he's so sneaky
Mel: GASP
Julie: OOOO
Mel: GASP
Julie: OH TODD
Mel: TODDDD
Mel: TODDDD
Mel: omg
Julie: ;_;
Mel: don't kill todd
Mel: AHAHAHA TODD
Julie: *cackles*
Mel: HE IS THE BEST WRAITH EVER
Julie: HE IS
Mel: todd + rodney = bff - JOHN. John in this episode, oh John. I don't even have words for John. I think this episode could possibly spark Volume II of
amberlynne's smartface picspam. His glorious little expression when they saw the chamber! It was, in Julie's words, "ew, girls!" one hundred fold. And when Queenie went directly for Rodney! EPIC LOVE EPIC LOVE! j;foaklgawmf;jo
- Gem of the episode: Rodney got lost in a garden maze running away from a bee. Oh, Rodney.
- I'm not even going to get into the whole Teyla storyline because then I will end up babbling on and on about her scene with Lorne and his sweet, low-voiced comfort, or I will end up babbling on about John's AWKWARD HUG and we will never finish this post ever oh my god BOYS ON THIS SHOW STOP KILLING ME.

He named him after a pale guy he knew from college? Seriously, John just named the Wraith after his old college boyfriend. You know that, right?

So basically, I would say, on the minus side, there was not nearly as much John and Rodney interacting one on one as I would have liked (because if they had a whole ep of just John and Rodney? I would still watch) but I did like John's series of discussions with Teyla-- especially how after he was all "This is really about your people being missing and you wanting to kick ass, but you can't" he sort of made this face of "Wow, I can't believe I actually just said that really true and painful emotional thing. That never happens."IT WAS GLORIOUS. WASN'T IT GLORIOUS, MEL?

Todd = Awesome.
Oh, and Ronon! Ha ha, Ronon and Rodney's interaction always cracks me up. Those two are like constantly squabbling siblings. (Poor John gets to babysit, lol.) And of course Teyla will be a good mother-- she's had plenty of practice. ;D
And Lorne? Glompable. Love him.

Lorne's conversation with Teyla was, I think, the best part of the episode. Kavan is such a lovely, lovely actor, I hope they continue to give him real dialogue instead of just making him point guns at things! (Even if he is sometimes barefoot and hysterical while doing that, I do approve of those times). He was so lovely and compassionate and I want Teyla and Lorne to be beffies, okay.
