There are no words to express, really, how much I adore this story. Marry or die fic! By katjad! It's delightful and in-character and awkward as hell in the sweetest way possible; Rodney's offensive without being obnoxious, John's so in over his head, and the end will leave you fondly going, "Oh, Zelenka."

"Gentlemen." Elizabeth's tone of voice was enough to make both of them stop talking and look at her, which in Rodney's case was really saying something. She sounded tired, or possibly like she wanted to hit somebody. Probably Rodney, if John had to guess—he just had that kind of effect on people. "Being on the next corridor over isn't going to cut it. The elder told Teyla you need to be in the same bed."

There was a moment of horrified silence.

"This is the part where you're completely and utterly kidding, right?" John said.

Rodney snapped his fingers. "Wait, I've got it: it's April Fool's on Earth, isn't it? It has to be. It's, yes, convert the months to—No, wait, it's only mid-March. You're not kidding, are you? This is—this is not good."

Go on, shoo!

Now, this is going to probably make me sound schizophrenic or something after the yay above, but I'm just goddamn fed up with it. So.

If you're tired of hearing me talk about SGA, move the hell on. Defriend me, find some new people to share in your current obsession, whatever. I had fun in Supernatural for a while, it was nice, but I think it's kind of glaringly obvious by now that SPN is not my main squeeze. I still watch it, I still adore it, and occasionally I'll read a fic if it's by an author I like. But I am going to keep talking about John Sheppard being a hotass and I am going to keep posting fic about how much he loves Rodney McKay. If that's not something you want clogging up your flist, don't complain to me about it. Just click the little button at the top of my userinfo and you'll be free as a bird.

This is not to say that any of you who like Supernatural should Get Gone - because I love having all of you on my flist, and a lot of you I'm friends with in a more solid way than just through a shared fandom - but those few who are extremely bothered by my journal's content as of late? Please don't feel obligated to stay.

Wow, are people actually saying that? Cause that sucks! I won't lie; bandom makes me want to cry, and seeing all of the good writers going over there is tragical, but I'm happy that they've found something that makes them so happy, and I'd certainly never post sour grapes entries about it!

HAHA! No worries about bandom - I dipped my toes in before SGA ate my soul, and as adorable as the boys were, it's not for me. Also, live music + Mel =/= good. I usually end up getting trampled or groped or given glow-in-the-dark condoms.

Currently I am writing three fics! One of them is a Grease AU, one of them is John the President, and the other one is absolutely filthy porn.

"I'm not sure this is such a good idea," Rodney said anxiously. He tugged at the tight waistband of his pants and pulled down the hem of his shirt to make sure it covered his belt, ignoring Laura's fussing hands. "It's not really...me."

"You look good," Laura told him soothingly, "John won't know where to put his hands first. Stop messing with it."

Rodney flushed and dropped his arms to his sides. Looking in the mirror was like looking at a different person entirely - someone who was sexy and edgy and not afraid to wear clothes that left nothing to imagination. Someone Rodney most definitely was not.

Those pants really were very tight.

"Are you positive this kind of clothing is appropriate for school grounds?" Rodney asked. "I mean, I'm only seventeen, I don't want to be fined for indecent exposure or corrupting the innocent minds of the nation's youth. That sort of thing goes on your permanent record."

Laura sighed and put her hands on his shoulders, shaking him back and forth until he met her eyes. "Rodney."

"I know, I know. Suck it up."

"You want him?" Rodney nodded quickly, because, god, he did; he really, really did. Laura nodded along with him, smiling slowly. "Okay. You can do this."

"I can do this," he repeated. He glanced at the mirror again. "I can't do this."

"Rodney," Laura huffed.

The field behind the school was packed with seniors and teachers and carnival rides, brightly colored decorations hanging from the goal posts and bleachers. Laura was walking behind Rodney with one pointed finger dangerously close to the small of his back at any given moment, poised to poke and prod in case Rodney tried to back out or, you know, regain his sanity.

“What if he doesn’t even care?” Rodney moaned as they navigated the treacherous path of sugar-hyped students. “What if he doesn’t notice?”

“Oh, he’ll notice,” Laura said slyly.

“You don’t know that,” Rodney argued. “How can you know that?”

“Shut up. Remember what we talked about,” Laura instructed, suddenly all business. She fluffed his hair in the back and brushed off his back. “If he doesn’t fall all over himself getting to you, he’s not worth your time.”

Before Rodney could ask what she meant or stammer out a thank you, he was being turned around and marched through a thinner part of the crowd, towards where he could see John standing with Teyla and Ronon. Was that…was John wearing a letterman jacket?

I'm not sure how long ago I friended you, but I did it because I love your stories & I love filling my friends list with people who are squeeing about Atlantis. (my love for SGA knows has no harsh -- it is unconditionall fll of squee).

Sigh -- many of my flist has abandoned SGA for SPN or Bandom, so I have been looking for new people to add who also love SGA.

I do apologize, cause I have not been giving enough feedback lately, but I love everything you write. (and I can't wait for th Grease AU. :-) )
