So it's only three months later but I found it. It's an RPS.

Curse of the WereFlan (ep. 2) (http://lallybroch.livejournal.com/120549.html) by lallybroch. I'm sure there was a part up originally where David figured out Joe was a werewolf and 'confronted' him with it but ::hands:: I can't seem to find on l's site.
