It's like having a migraine in my uterus, complete with light sensitivity, nausea, dizziness, the most painful cramps I've ever been unfortunate enough to experience. Auuugh. I need a distraaaction and holiday cards just aren't cutting it (especially because I am experiencing a bout of "OHGOD THEY ARE SO PLAIN AND BORING NOT EVEN FUZZY BABY POLAR BEARS CAN SAVE THEM!" but that is neither here nor there). So! A twist on the most recent drawing meme!

Oh no. I hate cramps.
I get really bad ones about 50% of the time. Used to think they were worse if I was tired/sick but now I think it's just random. Like Russian roulette :(

LOVELY MANIPS! But I am really here to say - you never have to have period pain that bad. It's a sign that something is up with the world. Go see your doctor and get checked out for fybroids, endometriosis, andometriosis, cysts and the like. There are about a hundred and eleventy reasons for periods that feel as you describe, but none are just 'the way it is' - something my friends and I have figured out over several years. And no one talks about this stuff, you know? Me, I have to take percocet for period pain, which is why I'm on hormones so that I don't *get* periods. My one friend had cysts, another had endo - at this point I know more women who have terrible trouble with their periods and didn't realize something could be done about it than I know women who just get regular cramps.
