yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
So, October's an awesome, awesome, ridiculously cool month.
You wanna know why? Well! My lj-versary is coming up (TWO YEARS, GUYS, WOAH), then my birthday (LIBRA BABIES ROCK), then my friends are taking me to a Renaissance fair in Massachussets (I'M EXCITED), and then Halloween. Ohhh, Halloween, I love you so. When I was wee, you gave me candy; when I was tween, you gave me shaving cream fights; now, you give me a reason to dress up like a crazy person.

The leaves here are already turning red. It's kind of beautiful and kind of frightening, because in the time it takes for you to eat lunch, an entire tree will change. And then you'll spend hours wondering if you're insane. Good times.
But, yeah, so, Fall is definitely my favorite season after winter. I just love the whole of it--burning wood smell on the breeze, beautiful clear skies, warming your hands in someone else's pockets, picking apples and then eating them all before you've even gotten back to the house. I feel warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.
What about you guys? D'you like fall?

OH. YOUR BIRTHDAY. So many birthday fics this month... I've finally figured them all out (I actually had a dream about your prompt and it's incredibly cute and yummy). I'll try to get it done, but... well, something unhappy has happened. Check out my short LJ post for more info.

Well, my roommie was thinking she might be a Nazgul this year, and maybe try to convince our friend, Alex, to be Frodo. I seekritly think she just wants to chase him around campus and stab him up a bit. :D

I love fall because of
-the colors
-the smells
-the food
-the culture
-the changing air
-and I just get this peaceful feeling. Like I don't have anywhere to rush to. Like I'm completely happy exactly where I am. Thats what fall is to me. The End.

Although I hate halloween. We never really do it down here any more. You get the odd kid pretending he's hard coming round for your odd coppers but that's about it.
But I DO happen to love Autumn/Winter for bonfire night, when you get that lovely cold/fire/fireworks/sparklers smell and it all feels like winter and Christmas are coming and everything is fantastic.
What I love even more is the fact that our town is in a valley between the cliffs, so you basically can just go up onto the cliffs with a bottle of something strong to keep the cold out, light a few sparklers and then watch everyone else's fireworks for free :0D That's the way to do it.
Anyway. You should go as Calvin and Hobbes together in one.

You either dress as Calvin OR Hobbes, I suppose, and then you take along a stuffed Calvin OR Hobbes, the opposite to what you dressed as, and you tie it to you.

And a toaster, because the best one has to be that one where Calvin goes, "You put the bread in, you wait a minute, and then....look! You get toast out."
"Wow!" says Hobbes. "That's amazing. Where does the bread go?"
