glurk

In all of the crazy rushing of yesterday (read: walking from W4 Street and 6th Avenue to the 1st Avenue L station at E14th Street, approximately twenty seven blocks, oh my god), I managed to somehow acquire a migraine. It is mighty and nauseating and sort of feels like my sinuses are about to hit the red button and go nuclear, though god knows we don't need the winter that'd bring on, seeing as it's negative fifty bazillion degrees out with the wind chill.

Someone come whisk me away, New York is not cutting it.

To while away the hours until I can actually, like, move in any upward direction, I am going to listen to [livejournal.com profile] the_oscar_cat's soothing pod fics, attempt to answer comments, and pretend I am at a gloriously opulent resort in Bali, catching indirect rays and lounging next to an empty pool as a young man - who is conveniently gorgeous and funny - brings me a constant supply of Excedrin, lemonade, and sexy.

Who will join me!

I'll join you. I'm about to head outside to do grocery shopping and it's -16°C/3°F outside and there's about 2 feet of snow on the ground. My brain wanted to wait until the forecast improved, but that won't happen until April and I think we need food before that. I'm bringing my mp3 player and will listen to podfics about warm places and warmth bringing activities (which are so much fun to listen to while looking at the people around you and thinking "Guess what! I'm listening to podfic about guys having sex! How's your day going?") while shopping.

I hope your headache goes away. :)

I'd say podfic made this shopping trip a good 50% better. And now it's DONE!! (For a week, but really, why think about that now?)

I bundled up and didn't get as cold as I expected to. I love good heaters in cars. :)
