Title: Glad to the Brink of Fear
Pairing: John/Rodney
Rating: G
Notes: For this month's
artword challenge, Reversed. My lovely partner,
chandri, has written an incredibly sweet story to accompany this, which you can find here, and it's so adorable I had to flutter my hands at the end in public. Also, massive, huge love to
chopchica for helpful suggestions like, "John's arm is as big as a leg. You should change that." ♥, sweetie. Stock is, as always, from veer.

You got Rodney to look peaceful. DAMN that's really sexy. DAMN. The arm over his head!!! And John's arm!
Ok, Rodney's arm thing. Seriously. I could write META on this. REAL LIFE meta. About how no one sleeps like that unless they're utterly comfortable in their surroundings, even at their most vulnerable point.
ILU.

YES! I totally agree. It's the body language that I love the most because it says, 'here, I am free'. The usually uptight and frenetic scientist all uncoiled and relaxed, not guarding himself with crossed arms and visible hands. The soldier who has made an armour out of his faux-casual slouch actually looking genuinely relaxed and peaceful and curled up on his side.
This is so, so lovely <3
