yayyyy happyfest is here!

Fic posting is now open for the McShep Happyfic Challenge!

Once you've posted your story at your own journal, comment to this entry with a link using the template below so that we can add you to the master list we'll be posting to the noticeboard in a few days. You have until November 5th at noon your own time to get your fic posted and linked. After that, we'll be closing the fest down with a big ol' post of glory and nothing else will be included, but you're more than welcome to keep posting happy fic until the end of time as far as we're concerned! And if you have any questions, concerns, problems, feel free to ask them right here in the comments. Bring on the fic!! :D

Summary: Can be a few lines from the fic or a synopsis - please, nothing too epic, just a couple of sentences.

The Happyfest Masterlist

Title: The Crooked Path
Author: [livejournal.com profile] facetofcathy
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Set sometime in the near future and on Earth.

"You really do look like crap, McKay," John said when Karen had returned to the house. "What are you doing here anyway?" John tossed his sunglasses on the table, and Rodney could see the tightness of pain lines around his eyes.

"Would you believe I was in the neighborhood and just decided to drop by?" Rodney asked.

Title: The Naked Truth
Author: [livejournal.com profile] wolfshark
Rating: NC 17
Summary: I found this paperwork on my desk, along with a matching request from Doctor McKay.

Title: Chaos Theory
Authors: [livejournal.com profile] sgamadison & [livejournal.com profile] the_cephalopod
Rating: NC-17
Summary: “See, it’s like this,” Rodney smiled out at the reflection of the moon on the ocean, small waves sending the moonbeam rippling towards them on a ribbon of gleaming water. “I’m in love with Keller.”

A band of steel constricted in John’s chest at the words and a little voice within him sighed and said ‘here we go again’. He took another swallow of beer, admiring the steadiness of his voice when he spoke at last. “Don’t you mean ‘Jennifer’?”

Rodney looked at him sharply, startled. “What? Oh. Right. Whatever. Don’t start with me, Colonel Linguistics. Didn’t you hear what I just said?”

Title: Now The People Will Know We Were Here
Author: Chandri MacLeod
Rating: PG
Summary: At YVR they discover the airline has lost their luggage, which sparks off a predictably venomous tirade on the subjects of corporate monopolies and nose-diving service standards and something about nostalgia for the noble red goose. John has no idea what Rodney's talking about, but he shares bemused glances with Ronon and Teyla, sticks his hands in his pockets, and watches with a little smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

Title: Mile marker thirty-six
Author: [livejournal.com profile] bluespirit_star
Rating: R
Summary: When John receives an unexpected legacy he heads back to Earth, taking Rodney with him. While there he must deal with some old ghosts, Rodney’s love of brownies and a life-changing discovery. There may also be a moose and an alligator but they’re completely incidental.

Title: Cultural Exchange
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lamardeuse
Rating: NC-17
Summary: “What does he think we are, Fine Arts majors?” Rodney demanded.

Title: I Have Loved the Stars Too Fondly to Be Frightened by the Night
Author: Mira
Rating: NC-17
Summary: He did like that all the cadets were required to address him as "sir," though.
(Also at my website.)

Title: We Don't Have The Time For Psychological Romance
Author: [livejournal.com profile] glitterdash
Rating: R
Summary: Rodney gets the Nobel. John gets Rodney.

Title: Screen Savor
Author: [livejournal.com profile] danceswithgary
Rating: R
Summary: It was the perfect setup - a little girl with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pink tutu. What woman could resist?

Title: The First Annual All-Atlantis Paper Airplane Competition
Author: [livejournal.com profile] pennyplainknits
Rating: NC-17
Summary: John clicked on the newest email in his inbox."The first Annual Atlantis Fun Day." It read. "Including Gate Team tug of war, music from Doctor Z and the ZPMs, an Athosian cook-out, dancing 'til late, and the All-Atlantis Paper Airplane. Championship. Sign-ups (one military and one civilian in each airplane-making team) to Sergeant Campbell by the end of the week."

Title: Poems, Prayers & Promises
Author: Cyanne
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 10,034
Summary: An accidental proposal followed by a surprise wedding. It said volumes about his life. Their lives. And there wasn't a thing in the universe he'd trade it for.

Title: The Pegasus Babysitters Club
Author: [livejournal.com profile] grammarwoman
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Two men. One baby. What could go wrong?

Title: What You Trust
Author: [livejournal.com profile] tex
Rating: R, then NC-17
Summary:
“I love you guys.” Rodney just blurts it out before he can think better of it. “I really, really do.”

Hiya! I hate to mention this, but I couldn't find this story on your LJ, and the link here isn't translating to anything. Has the story moved to a different location?
