So, this is probably the worst week I have had in a long time. I've managed to (so far): have a spectacularly emotional break down in the middle of the cafeteria; forget half my uniform for two days running; break my calculator half an hour before a conversions test in Breads; nearly get hit by the bus for the third day in a row while trying to flag it down; unwittingly offend half the people that I talk to on a regular basis; get stuck with the slowest goddamn girl in Breads kitchen, who proceeded to slowly knock half my ingredients off the table one by one and then try to steal my brioche couronne even though my name was CLEARLY right there.
There is more! I could go on!
Blah. At least I have a Julie to look forward to tomorrow, and a weekend of picnics and snuggles in my near future. God knows if I don't get some quality snuggles in the next few days I'll probably end up eating a pound of chocolate and terrifying the neighbors with primal scream therapy.

1. Susan Vance (Bringing Up Baby)
"'He's three years old, gentle as a kitten, and likes dogs.' I wonder whether Mark means that he eats dogs or is fond of them?"
She's absolutely, brilliantly insane! You can't help but love someone that can so completely befuddle everyone around her without even trying very hard. And anyone who can manage to do all of this without tripping my embarrassment squick is a wonder indeed.
2. Miss Jane Marple (Agatha Christie Mysteries)
"We're all very ordinary in St. Mary Mead, but ordinary people can sometimes do the most astonishing things."
Miss Marple has always been one of my favorite detectives (second only to Poirot because he's an adorable little Belgian and I am only so strong). She's clever and relentlessly polite and cheerful, but it's the fact that she, unlike Poirot, has so much of her heart involved in each murder she solves is what really makes me adore her.
3. Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins)
Mr. Banks: "Just a moment, Mary Poppins. What is the meaning of this outrage?"
Mary Poppins: "I beg your pardon?"
Mr. Banks: "Will you be good enough to explain all this?"
Mary Poppins: "First of all, I would like to make one thing quite clear."
Mr. Banks: "Yes?"
Mary Poppins: "I never explain anything."
Oh, come on, it's Mary Poppins. Do I really have to explain myself here? She's poised and graceful and she handles stubborn men and children with an ease that's only admirable. Plus, she made cleaning fun. Who else but some kind of goddess can do that.
4. Camille (Quantum of Solace)
I don't really know the movie well enough to quote her, and IMDB is being absolutely no help. But, essentially, I loved the way she wasn't simply another Bond Girl. She had sorrows and a plot line and she held her own damn well - against enemies and against Bond's particular brand of sex appeal. She - charmed me. :>
I can't manage anymore right now because I have class in a couple minutes and don't anticipate having the time later on (OH GOD PROJECTS WHY), but Teyla would totally be on there with extra hearts, and so would Miss Price from Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
