How is that the bugs always know when I'm alone and vulnerable?

So this is pretty much how it went:

Millipede: *APPEARS MALEVOLENTLY*
Mel: Grahhh!!! *runs away*
Millipede: *scurries towards ceiling*
Mel: Um, um, um.....RAID! *brandishes*
Millipede: I don't think so, bitch!
Mel: FAST BASTARD! *sprays!*
Millipede: *runs towards Mel*
Mel: Brahhg!!! *runs away*
Millipede: *is mysteriously GONE*

Needless to say, his corpse was never found and I did not sleep in my own bed last night.

I'm so relieved to live on a nice island far away from all big bugs and manky...things with....too many legs and...urrrrrrrrr....

The only thing I have ever had to deal with is a slowworm, and it more went something alike this:

Me: SCREEEEEEEAMMMM WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?
Slowworm: hmmm hmm hmm hmmm...hmm hmm hmm...here I am...slowwormin' away...hmmm hmmm hmmm - ooh, screaming lady...maybe I ought to slowworm somewhere else...

Hahahahaha! I can't say I've ever seen a slowworm, THANKFULLY PLEASE DON'T SHOW ME, but the millipede was....*weeps* I hate them.

I live on the fourth floor of the dorm building, so we don't get any cockroaches or anything like that, but we get all the 'pedes because those buggers can run.

Guhhhhrhg.
