Okay. Who here knows how to sew? Come on, speak up. There has to be someone. I will owe you my STILL BEATING HEART. Or, y'know, a present of some kind.

I know, not the best sketch ever, but, well, it gets the point across. I really, really, REALLY want to make that outfit, but I don't even know one end of a needle from the other until I poke myself with it. And then I get blood all over. It's just not good. All I know of sewing comes from that one scene in Cinderella where the mice are making her dress for the ball, which, hey, might not be entirely useful as I am neither six inches tall nor do I have a lot of mousey friends.

Anyway. Can anyone point me in a direction or give me some tips? I don't want to be, like, the next Project Runway contestant, I just want to make my own clothes fit right. Child-bearing hips, people--apparently the clothing industry does NOT like them. :(

PS OMG YES I WILL HAVE THE CW!!! *EXCITED FACE*

I know how to sew but I'm not the neatest person in the world so possibly not the sort of person one could learn much off :0P

(Although you so should have come to school last year when it was so hot in the classroom we had to go outside, and I taught the kids sewing under the big oak trees and it was all very lovely and time-wastery. Then you could have learnt :0P)

But. Probably I'd say a sewing machine for that malarkey? Which I have no idea how to operate. Although we do have one, somewhere...

Sewing machines scare me. They're all big and prone to going REALLY FAST and they can hurt you. BADLY. *childhood trama*

And even though you're sloppy, do you know how I would go about measuring out the fabrics?

Errrr....no. No idea. Have you got some sort of sewing...shop, nearby? Middle-aged women in sewing shops are the ones you want :0P I have a vendetta against middle-aged women in general BUT I do believe they can be helpful when working with fabrics.

Um. I probably do? Maybe I can ask my aunt, who lives a few towns over. She and I can go harass some old ladies.
