unamaga: (ambiguous they are not)
It's Tuesday, zomg. That means my father's birthday is on SATURDAY and THANKSGIVING is on THURSDAY and I haven't started packing to go home yet and I'm being picked up in, like, FIVE HOURS. *runs around in circles*

Oh my god, [livejournal.com profile] purple_sax09, we have to clean out the fridge! Those apples have been there since...omg, when did we go apple picking? And the milk? Did we ever throw that away? Crap, crap, crap. I think we forgot to throw out the milk. And are you going to be able to finish the hot pockets before tomorrow when you leave? SHOULD I HAVE ONE FOR LUNCH?

I'm breathing, I'm fine, I'm ok. Here, have a quizmabob. ) Well, yeah, ok. *coughs* So maybe that's almost 100% accurate. Shut up, I said ALMOST.

While I head off to go promptly insane, I have a few people I'm sending cards to already, but is there anyone else that wants one? So far I have [livejournal.com profile] dullemarulle, [livejournal.com profile] robin1618, [livejournal.com profile] torturemysoul, [livejournal.com profile] coverd_n_rain, and [livejournal.com profile] chickypooh... unless I'm forgetting someone? Am I? Damn, I probably am. SEND ME AN EMAIL OR SOMETHING. ETA: Duh, I almost forgot about [livejournal.com profile] undecipherable and [livejournal.com profile] iamtinkerbean!

Dear I-95,

You suck, and I couldn't possibly hate you more than I do at this moment in time. We left my dorm at 5:45 and we arrived home at nearly 10:00, even though the trip usually only lasts two and a half hours. Why must you be the only interstate in New England that goes where I need you to? I want to smash you up into little pieces, dance on your dusty remains, and then sprinkle you with salt because that will hurt.

No love,
Mel

So on the [long, long, long] drive home, I put one of my mix CDs on in the car, which is not usually the cause of hilarity, but, well, my dad, folks; my dad.

All of you know "Trogdor" right? If you don't, head over to homestarrunner.com and learn all about the awesomesaucity of Strong Bad. So, ok, "Trogdor" came on, and my dad listens for a second. Trogdor was a man, Strong Bad sings, he was a...dragon man. Or maybe he was just...a...dragon. And my dad turns to me and says, "Was this in that movie? Y'know, Blast From the Past?"

Ahahahahahahahahaha. Oh, I love my daddy. ♥

Now, tomorrow, I'm going to put together a huge post of music: The Tea Party, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Dirty Pretty Things, Lenahan, and Harry and the Potters. Oh yes, I'm goin' there, but does anyone have requests? I will list CDs on demand.
