Just in case you didn't already know, David Hewlett is ridiculous. And when I say ridiculous, I mean he sometimes pretends he's a monkey. Not even joking. Julie sent me Where the Heart Is and, in between winces of embarrassment (oh god, I am so not looking forward to the day when the late 80's fashions are back in) and the winces of absolute mortification (OH, Uma Thurman! Why!), were these precious moments.


Here he is, being a monkey. No, really, he says 'oook' and grooms himself.

I haven't finished watching yet - the heavy price of contact embarrassment is being forced to stop every five minutes - but I'm confident that DHew will continue to surprise and amaze me. I hear later on he has a ponytail.

Oh, that movie. As soon as I figured out where those pictures of him dressed as cupid came from, I knew it had to be added to the Netfilx queue. I uh, still try to watch it again sometimes (it's a lot better if you turn the sound down, go do something else, and glance up every once in a while).

SO PAINFULLY BAD. It's like all the actors were wandering around in a daze going "Why are we here? What the hell is the plot? This makes NO SENSE." Except Uma, who thought she was in some incestuous Greek tragicomedy.

But David was so freaking adorable in it. I mean, COME ON. THE CUPID COSTUME. THAT ASS. *LOVES*

Have you watched Traders? Because if not, you absolutely must. I was like, 13 when it was on TV and even then, long before Stargate I knew Grant Jansky was the best thing EVER. Hilarious and adorable, with mental problems. I-- really. You should watch it. A lot.

You know what I wish? That the Cupid pictures were somehow 'real' in SGA fandom and that John comes across them while, say, visiting Rodney or Jeannie on Earth. And without being told why, he gets to draw his own conclusions (probably much like our own) and then realizes how much he wuvs his Rawdnee. :D
