I swear one day I will actually get completely caught up on comments. Until then, some spam:

AGjw;fp8oarijaJWPGjawfi;giawf and you're lucky to get that much coherence. Mensa-verse meets SGA-verse, hooomg.

"Yup. Let me show you." John tugged Rodney over and then his lips were right under Rodney's ear, working their way down, light suction and nuzzling and when Rodney gasped, John chuckled against his skin. "See, he likes it a lot."

"I, um--" Rodney started, but John had already pushed him toward the other John. He stumbled, but the other John caught him. His mouth was a little rougher, his breathing heavy--nervous probably, and his hot breath tickled Rodney's skin as his mouth moved over it.

Love a Sky So Blue and its Redux, both by [livejournal.com profile] mausi (Gen...ish? but slightly pre-McKay/Sheppard, G)
Based off [livejournal.com profile] ediblewolfpeach's not so imaginary 'verse, and so, so perfect I nearly cried.

"John Sheppard!" Rodney shrieks, and his voice would have woken the dead had anyone else been able to hear it, "get down from that tree this instant!"

Naturally, John jumps.

Again with the ajwga;4rpjirr0ao;rji. Plus, there is funny. Winning combination! \o/

"This is my room," said Rodney. He was backed up a little against the door because John was standing too close.

"That was probably the worst blowjob I've ever given anyone, anywhere," John said. He wanted to stand even closer. "I can do better."

Rodney swallowed loudly enough that John could hear the click in his throat. His cheeks and nose were pink; his breathing fast and shallow. It was really amazingly hot.

"I'll probably stroke out," Rodney said. His voice was glum but his eyes were huge and nearly black.

Subject: OH MY GOD

OH MY GOD I JUST HAD A THOUGHT AND IT WOKE ME.

Remember that lovely Joe/John we did where John was watching movies?

Imagine the next night, they're lazing about on the couch after eating dinner, the lights off so the television's the only thing to see by again, and Joe suddenly sits up straighter, making a sound very much like a gasp.

"Oh my god," he says, "you've never - oh my god," and before John can ask what, what? and start to get paranoid, Joe's scrambling out from under him and pulling up a fake bottom on the tape rack. He gets a video in hand, pops the one out that they were in the middle of - despite John's protests - and sticks the new one in.

"You're going to die," Joe promises, and he's got an unholy glint to his eyes that John's not sure he likes. He sits back anyway, draping his arm over the couch invitingly, and watches the screen.

The typical white snow at the beginning of the tape cuts off abruptly, and then there's Rodney - Rodney, looking ten years younger with his hair all slicked back against his skull and wearing a World War II period outfit. John shifts a little, breath catching in his throat.

It seems Joe's had this particular scene cut out from the rest of the movie, because there are a few things that don't exactly make sense, but John doesn't really blame him - especially not when the guy sharing a drink with Rodney steps in to kiss him and Rodney only hesitates a second before sliding his tentative hand up the guy's arm and kissing back with his whole body.

The kissing can't last more than half a minute, but Joe has the volume up and John's achingly hard so quickly his head spins. He can see Rodney's mouth, hear the wet cling of his lips, watch the way he lets the other guy lead just a little bit, tipping his head and taking cues so effortlessly John's fingers twitch to be threading through that short hair and pushing the other guy out of the way (mine, mine, not yours).

And, wow, okay. That was unexpected. Last memo he'd gotten, Rodney was his best buddy and they barely even shared casual touches - a pat on the arm when one of them was under the influence of pheromones or good cheer, a hand on a shoulder to give the other a sense that they weren't alone, but only once in a while. He can't imagine touching Rodney like, like that.

Except apparently he can, and he has, and he still is right that very moment: thinking about what it might be like to have the hard line of Rodney's erection pressed hotly against his thigh, the kind of noises he might be able to coax out of that full mouth.

When he shakes himself out of his stupor, Joe's grinning at him from across the coffee table, his finger on the rewind button. "Learn something new every day, huh."

I spent almost a day with it paused in the middle of that working through the night bit and then finally I got to where they hugged. But it took a day. In the middle of a show. I might put off watching an entire episode for a few days (Heroes or House, usually), but I don't pause in the middle of episodes because I am bored. And I kinda was.

Also, I feel all the suspense is gone because there are undoubtedly episodes after that and no one can die. Er. You know what I mean!

I think maybe I will go back and watch some more over Christmas break (which is when I watch seasons of shows in a few days - like, 2 or 3 of Gilmore Girls in probably as many days), but I do not know. If I can't get through that episode, though... (is it important to the overall plot of the show? I mean, obviously there's a wraith attack or the drug doesn't work or it desn't work in time or something and everyone dies, but other than that?)

Actually, this is the perfect time to get into a show - there are hiatuses, and a writer's strike, and no shows will be updated, so I can be all caught up for whenever a deal is struck. I AM BRILLIANT! Except, not.

Also, and unfortunately, I can't actually see myself really being in the fandom all that much (like, reading McShep and the crack and everything is fabulous, but I can't actually see it in the show. It's like House and Heroes and Bones - shows I watch because they're fun and interesting and I like them, but beyoand say, gathering icons, I don't do anything online with them. They are my casual viewing shows. But if I hadn't been introduced to SPN fandom before I watched the show, SPN would probably be casual viewing as well (if I watched it at all).

So basically I'm likening you to Aeli (who introduced me to SPN). I actually think this might be, like, Pilot or Wendigo or something. Whatever episode I couldn't watch early on. But it does get better, right? And not just in terms of slashiness? Like, people become less awkward and whatever?

Hi! Long response! Sorry!

ahh, ok, sorry. i don't know them by number, really.

i think you should skip ahead to "the defiant one" temporarily. it's a stand alone episode, mostly - like, it has reaching consequences for the future, especially in rodney's case, but there's nothing that leads up to it that you desperately need to know. it's my favorite episode out of the first season.

It's okay.

But okay. I think I shall try that one (not tonight, because I have homework (unless you think I really should watch it now...)), but soon).
